A tidal pool at Charleston, South Carolina's Folly Beach "Washout" catches first light during low tide along the this east coast surfing hotspot. The Washout is named for the damage that occurred at this location in 1989 following Hurricane Hugo. Folly Beach is a barrier island about eight miles from downtown Charleston, South Carolina.
