A tragedy of the sea, two sailboats wash aground along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore, infamous for having dangerous offshore shoaling. Opposing currents, the warm Gulf and cold Labrador collide not far from shore, creating unpredictable shoaling. On this particular morning, vibrant skies reflect the wet sands along the shore.
